"Mattia Buffoli, class of 1983, is not so much a photographer but an explorer. He wants to capture the moment, the right moment, free of excess. He has been taking photos for four years now and mainly uses analog. Film has a special meaning for him as a lover of cinema and the everyday life frozen in time by the great masters such as Egglestone, Doisneau, Frank, Erwitt & Parr. Mattia halts the world around him, but is certainly no mere spectator: music, friends, his home, family and passions are the focus of his photography. A style that does not claim to be so, the perspective of a young man to whom form makes a lot of sense, once it has been revealed among the folds of reality. Recently Mattia has begun to develop his portfolio, he has taken part in two talent competitions organized by Vogue and was selected for both. He is often reviewed and interviewed, especially in the blogosphere."
